Are Woven Wood Shades or Roman Shades good for privacy?
Yes! Although bamboo shades are naturally see through due to gaps in their material, they have optional features such as a privacy liner, which adds an additional layer of protection that blocks the view through. These are a great option to get that natural look in the front, while still having the back layer to help reduce sunlight and glare and of course the view through. These liners are available on roman shades as well.
Do Privacy Shades have natural light control?
Since privacy shades generally have an opaque material that is not see-through, they will block more light than other window treatments. This makes them a great controller of natural light. Honeycomb shades, aluminum mini blinds, vertical blinds, and more will all block a good amount of the light and thus the view as well. Solar shades are not considered a full privacy shade as they are sheer - the fabric has openings that allow you to see through to a degree.
