Clean and modern, Graber Sheer Shades combine the gentle and light filtering characteristics of soft sheer fabric with the light control and functionality of conventional blinds. By raising the shades up, you close the lightweight fabric vanes to provide privacy, light control, and protection from harmful UV rays. When you lower the fabric down, the solid vanes open and reveal the sheer layers that gently diffuse light and allow you to see through.

What is the difference between sheer shades and layered shades?
Sheer shades and layered shades are closely related, but very different in design. Layered shades, also known as Zebra shades, have two layered of fabric with alternating stripes. As you move the shade up and down, the stripes will change to block the view completely, or let you see through every other stripe. Sheer shades, also known as silhouette shades or sheer horizontal shades, have two layers of sheer material that is joined by fabric vanes. The vanes are closed until you lower the shade down to the sill, where they can tilt open to open up the view completely.
Do Graber sheer shades come with a fabric wrapped cassette?
Yes! Our Graber sheer shades come with a curved aluminum valance that is fabric wrapped.
What are Graber Silhouette Shades?
Some people may call these shades Graber Silhouette Shades, however their official name is Graber Overture Sheer Shades. The name Graber Silhouette Shades comes from their similarly in functionality to the Silhouette Shades by Hunter Douglas. In reality that is just a brand name and they are both categorized as sheer horizontal shades.

Overture Sheer Shade Mounting
The fabric width is narrower than the finished shade width of the cassette valance and its components. For optimal light control, outside mount is recommended, or you will have to combine these sheer shades with a secondary soft window treatment like drapery or curtain to hide the light gap on an inside mount.
