Choose the fabric of your choice to customize windows with Crown designer drapery panels with Parisian pleats: chenille damask-linen, matrix-golden berry, Valdosta-blackbird, Fergus-spring, and silk plum are a few of the fabrics, textures and colors in the range. Decide on 4” or 6” Parisian pleats – Parisian pleats are crafted by pinching three pleats together at the top, allowing it to fan out gently and fall into elegant folds.
Choose your drapery rods and have them fitted with a minimum overhang of 4” on either side of the window frame. Choose fabric widths of a ratio of 2.5”:1 to the window width to allow for a pleasing fullness of the body of the drapes. Hang them from just below the ceiling all the way to the floor to create the illusion of size/space in a room.
Suspend the curtains with rings or rod pockets – in the former option, the drapery rod will be exposed to view, so choose matching drapery rods that will highlight the drapery panels and windows.
For optimum privacy and insulation, line your drapes with the premium privacy lining that comes in a white 100% cotton fabric, incorporated with acrylic foam and rayon flock to insulate t a room and also blocks out 100% of the sunlight when drawn closed. Drapes that are light colored, with a low thread count, is optimally lined with this premium privacy lining, which also lends a better fall and a crisply tailored look. Use this blackout lining for drapes in bedrooms for peaceful sleep during the day, as this lining also blocks out noise.
Draw the curtains to hang straight on either side of a window for complete exposure to view, or swag them back with matched contoured tiebacks on brackets fixed onto the sides of a window frame, for a partially exposed view. Team your drapes with sheers behind them – these can be left drawn closed to allow diffused light to filter into the room, while obscuring the view from outside.
The Crown designer Parisian pleated drapes are best maintained by dry-cleaning as and when required, which will keep your drapes looking fresh and new.
