Now, follow the below steps and complete the task accordingly.

Disclaimer – Following the below basic steps will definitely help you to mount your mini blinds using metal brackets and you won’t require any professional assistance. But it’s highly recommended to check with your manufacturer for further details because depending on the design, blind weight, and mounting type, the process may vary slightly. ZebraBlinds is not responsible for any product damage caused during the installation process.

  • Step 1: First, you have to determine whether you want to mount your blinds inside the window frame or outside of it. And you have to make this decision before you place an order for your product as the measurements have to be done according to that.
  • Step 2: Take the metal brackets included with your product and hold them on each end side of the window. Usually, these blinds require two brackets, but an extra optional bracket can be attached in the middle portion for additional support (depends on the weight and size of the product).

For outside mounting, place the brackets outside of the window frame (into the wall) and in case of inside mounting, place the metal brackets inside the window frame. Use a pencil to mark the location of the mounting holes, make sure the brackets are evenly spaced. To ensure the brackets are positioned straight, you can use a level. And also the brackets should be placed in such a way that they do not create any issue with the cord mechanism or any other internal part of the blind.

  • Step 3: Once you have the marks, use a drill to make holes where you need to secure the brackets. Now, put the mounting brackets and secure them using screws. Try to select long and strong screws for maximum flexibility.
  • Step 4: Time to install the mini blind. Take the headrail and align it properly and lock it inside the metal brackets. Make sure the tilt mechanism of the headrail should face towards the room. And you are all set to operate your blinds. Open/close them a few times to check whether the blind is working fine or not.
